[Day 4] Had dinner with my family & the line for the casino buffet was infinite. I could see our waitress was working pretty hard to bus all her tables. Discourteous diners make a server’s demandinging job twice as hard. As we finished our plates, we neatly stacked them up for her & my parents left a decent tip. As we were walking away from the table, I realized I left my jacket on the back of my chair. I went back to get it & added a little more to the tip for our kind waitress. -San Diego
The kind folks over at Speaking of Faith featured 40 Days 40 Deeds on their site. Thanks so much for spreading the word - we hope to be able to inspire more people to perform small acts! Many small acts can change the world.

[03] Let’s Say Thanks is a program sponsored by Xerox that allows you to send an encouraging message to a member of the United States Military, completely free of charge. Now, regardless of how I may feel about war or our country’s defense budget, I do believe everyone could use an encouraging note…especially when you’re so far from home.
I sent out two tonight. They even let you choose what the postcard looks like - from an array of children’s crayon creations.

{deed 2} ”Today, I donated a can of purple hull peas to the Haiti Earthquake Disaster Relief Campaign going on at my job. The effort is going on throughout the week, so I will bring in something new, whether non-perishable or cash, every day to continue to do my part to help the Haitians in their time of dire need.” ~Atlanta
